I love color! My favorite way to color these days is to tie dye.
It’s not the easiest or fastest thing to do, but I think it’s worth it. If someone is having a baby, my first thought is – “Yea!!! I have an excuse to tie dye!!”
This last week I was on a stay-cation. I have a baby shower to attend next month, so I carved out a couple of days to have a little fun. It was also a little hot, 98 degrees in the shade. My thoughtful hubby hooked me up with a shaded work station.
Boy, did I need it! Thank you sweetie!
The work – Wash, tie, dye, wait…rinse. Then my favorite part – cutting the ties and the great reveal!
The beauty of tie dyeing is you never truly know what you are going to get! Or at least, I don’t!
I have seen a huge improvement over the years. I have taught myself how to tie different patterns, but usually there is a gap between when I tie and when I dye. So, by the time I start to dye, I have no idea what piece I have in my hand. I’ve learned that I have to use more dye than I think I do. I have to try and color as much white as possible.
I hope the onesies bring a smile, they are always made with love!
